The Process involved

For those who wish to be certified nursing assistants in California, a requirement to undergo a fingerprinting procedure is set by state law. This is required in order to be able to check on the applicant’s criminal history. A nursing assistant who has submitted a fingerprinting application cannot take up a CNA training program. The applicant’s record must be clean. It must also remain clean or a CNA certificate cannot be renewed. It is also required that the applicant meets health requirements before starting on a certified nursing assistant program. Should there be any questions, the applicant can get in touch with the Department of Public Health in California. A CNA training program will prepare the applicant for the certified nursing assistant exam. It is also a means to be able to get entry level employment in the industry of health care. Every state follows its own specific training norms consisting of training time as a nursing assistant. As stated by the federal government, the applicant must have 75 hours of these training sessions.
