First Toronto Thrift Store Haul!

thrift store toronto

I really thought I would miss the thrift stores where I lived before but I donโ€™t at all! The choices here are amazing too. It turns out that the Salvation Army AND Value Village are both walking distance from my loft!

I walked by the Salvation Army Thrift Store today and noticed a sale: Buy any 4 pieces of clothing for $15 (no tax). I havenโ€™t done that much clothes shopping since I moved here but I also donโ€™t have that sense of urgency like I did before. I am not deprived of good fashion here, so I can always find anything I want anytime. :)

Here are my 4 pieces for $15!

This is a dress by Costa Blanca. A lovely burnt orange with pleats on top. Very flowy and feminine.

Next, is a beautiful black pleated dress by H&M. This one can be worn at the office and dinner, very versatile. Love it.

The following is a voluminous stripped skirt, no name on it! Could be vintage, hard to tell. Stripes are in again for spring/summer, so I jumped on this one.

Lastly is a black dress from Vero Moda. I wish you could see the detailing more. It still had the tags on and is worth 35โ‚ฌ ($46Cdn). I donโ€™t need another black dress but I am willing to let go of another one I own so I can keep this one. :) Yep, itโ€™s no secret that I love black dresses. Everyone looks good in them and they are so easy to style.

Salvation Army also gave me a discount card and each time I go in and purchase something, they stamp it and I get 10% off my purchase with $1 donation. After my card is full, I get 50% off my entire purchase. If you live in Ontario, they have coupons on their website that you can print out as well.

I will be visiting Value Village as soon as I clear out my existing clothing stash, I am doing it this weekend and I have a hunch a lot of my clothing will be donated. As Iโ€™ve said before, new life, new or new-to-me clothing!
