Hiring of 2013 Senior DOST SEI Scholars in Public Secondary Schools
To address the critical need for Science and mathematics teachers, all regional directors are enjoined to prioritize senior Department of Science and technology Education Institute scholars in the hiring of teachers in public secondary schools.
Enclosed is the list of the senior DOST SEI scholars who may be considered for hiring this school year 2013-2014. These scholars are enrolled in leading teacher training institutions in the country. As stipulated in the Scholarship Agreement
, upon completion of their course, these scholars are required to teach in public secondary schools in their home region for period equivalent to the number of years they benefited from the scholarship.
These scholars must have passed the Licensure Examination for Teacher within the year as a pre-requisite for permanent employment.
The Office of the Regional Director shall monitor the compliance of the schools division, city Superintendents as the hiring official.
