The Marian Yulo Vargas Regional Program and Training Center (Camp Marina) at Capitol Hills, Cebu City will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in May 2014 with the theme: Camp Marian @50 and Beyond”. One of the activities during the celebration is the Golden Jubilee Encampment on May 11-18, 2014. And for this, all Girls scouts of the visayas region are teeming with joy and excitement.
We are expecting 1000 girls scouts with ages 13-16 years old from the 15 councils of the entire visayas and some guest participants coming from Luzon and Mindanano Regions. Each council will be sending at lest 4 patrols or 32 senior girls scouts with 1 adult chaperon.
Hereunder is the schedule of the encampment:
May 11-12, 2014: Pre Campference (Meeting of all Central Staff Members composed of Troop Leaders/Trainers for the finalization of plans and preparation of the camp lay-out and program materials)
May 13, 2014: Arrival and setting down all the campers
May 14 9AM: Opening Ceremony
May 18 9AM: Closing Ceremony
In view thereof, may we request permission for the participation of our Girls Scouts (Girls and Adults) from Region 7 to this events? The favorable action you will grant this request will be greatly appreciated.
